Hinilawod is not just a literary piece but also a source of information about culture, religion and rituals of the ancient people of Sulod; showing us that ancient Filipinos believed in the “sacred,” in the importance of family honor and in personal courage and dignity. This literary piece simply portrayed about the brave persons who stand for their dignity and for their love ones. Inspite of difficulties and troubles they are still courageous and firm to fight. But the most significant values that we can find in in this story is the love for their family, that they are willing to accept the consequences just to protect and to show their support for their family..
